Update: The Blu-ray will still be released in other European countries, but not the United Kingdom. Additionally, Insomniac Games' Community Manager
James Stevenson has provided a reason at games forum
NeoGAF.
"It's partially due to broadband penetration being strong in the UK, therefore it wasn't seen as needed". He also mentions that Ireland will receive Blu-ray copies at retail, if you're really craving for a hard copy.
A Sony Europe representative confirmed to BritishGaming.co.uk that Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty will no longer be heading to United Kingdom retail stores on a Blu-Ray disc.
The 3-4 hour epilogue was released on the Playstation Store on August 21st, but was initially announced for a full retail release on September 12th.
After noticing that no British stores had the game for pre-order, we contacted Sony and received this email:
"R&C: QFB won't be released in the UK on Blu-ray I'm afraid."
Quest for Booty is still available on Playstation Network for £9.99
