previous release, this weekend Spanish PS3 developer
Ifcaro has released two new non-final PS3 USBLD Loader test versions.
They appear to add both increased compatibility and a language/driver file folder (namely, x:/USBLD) as follows:

SPANISH LANGUAGE ARCHIVE (Put in folder X: USBLD USBLDLNG.TXT where X is the letter of the usb disk and the setup screen select Import language file. Same thing with X: USBLD USBD . IRX driver for usb)
Rough translation: ATTENTION: This is NOT the final version. It is only a test version and find bugs etc.
The theme ps2load not finished because I realized that uses images ioprp well protected and is not it out XD. So if you test if the games run without requiring ps2load in this version in case.
I leave with you two versions one with and one without modhook, tell if something's modhook improved compatibility (or the worse) or if it does delete.

I tried normal and modhook version wtih couple of games:
"Street Fighter 3" works well
"PES 2009" works with ps2load
"God of war" doesn't work (I tried ps2load, ioprp300 patch, but it doesn't work)
"God of war 2" doesn't work (I tried ps2load, ioprp300 patch, but it doesn't work)
"Shadow of the Colossus" doesn't work
"silent hill 3" doesn't work
"Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence Disk 1" works firstly but then it blanks out at first gameplay screen. It doesn't display gameplay screen.
"Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence Disk 2 and 3" doesn't work.
Does anybody know how to work this games especially mgs3 and "god of war" series. I don't know ps2 system very well, but when I searched for this on the net, I found that HDLoader and toxic os works great. Can you patch these programs to works on ps3 with usb?

I got a 60b PS3 so PS2 games work.
1st, out of the 20 games I have on the HDD only about 5 work.
2nd, its SSLLOOWW!. There is no way to watch the game movies as they are so jumpy. Gameplay is ok but still its faster to just put the game in and run it from DVD.
Will support for more games be coming and will it be USB2 supported as it takes ages for a game to load.
I think half the games dont work as its just too slow.
Can someone give some easier to follow instructions on how to update the usbloader files?
