PS3 System Software Update v3.72 Incoming, Features Detailed

91w ago - It's been about six weeks since the last PlayStation 3 System Software update surfaced, and today Sony Network Entertainment VP Eric Lempel has announced that PS3 Firmware 3.72 update is incoming.

The only details we have at the moment on it are what appear to be security updates, so those into PS3 Custom Firmware, downgrading, hacking and homebrew may want to hold off updating as usual.

"A new PS3 system software update, v3.72, will be released soon. With this minor update, system stability during use of PS3 format software and network services has been improved."

Finally, for those having issues with Netflix after updating, simply do the following to reset it:

1. Start Netflix from the PS3 and immediately hold the Start and Select buttons together.
2. It should ask you if you want to Reset Netflix.
3. Select yes and you will need to re-enter your Netflix email and password.
4. It should then start working.
