The cover star, as previously announced, is Argentinian forward Lionel "Leo" Messi.
As expected, Konami has also hyped up the official UEFA champions league license that they have scored for Pro Evolution Soccer 2009.
Finally, the game has an American release date of 11/11/08.

I don't know, why they took Messi. Imho C. Ronaldo would be the better choice, although he was the cover star from PES2008.
But Messi is often injured and I don't know, if he can play regularly this Season.
