Update: As confirmed by several users, PSN has now been restored to service from the regular scheduled maintenance.
Today Sony's Sr. Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media
Patrick Seybold has confirmed that PlayStation Network will undergo maintenance today, June 9th, 2010.
To quote: Maintenance is expected to start at 8am Pacific and will last for several hours, until approximately 8:30pm Pacific.
During this time, users won't be able to access the PlayStation Store or Account Management, and may encounter some difficulty while signing in to PSN.
Stay tuned to the
PlayStation Twitter feed for updates and a notice when PSN is fully back online.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If this is supposed to make us think PSN premium is worth paying for, they're wrong...
Scratch that... Looks like I'd forgotten to start my squid server... *doh*
I'm off work today, and it wasn't until mid morning I could get on Home. And as of this post, I still can't purchase anything from the Store. Seems their "12 hr" maintanence window was silently extended...
