Update #2:
51N15T3R has now added the US
PlayStation Home .PKG File (76.9MB) to our
PSN Link Database!
Update: It appears some are still experiencing a
C-991 network error when trying to log into the service with a message that tells you the connection to the server was lost.
As reported
earlier today, you may now download PlayStation Home. The tech issues are now ironed out, and it's download is under the PlayStation Network Icon in XMB, you can't miss it!

I am so very happy to announce that PlayStation Home has now officially entered into Open Beta. Restart your PLAYSTATION 3, and you will see the PlayStation Home icon under the PlayStation Network column of the XMB. Click on the icon, and you are in.

Ok, I got it. So newer consoles have firmwares higher than 3.55 since they need a downgrade. Are there still new PS3s sold with a 3.55 firmware? What ...

At least I had a go on HOME (prior to the Open) - but now i need my fix of Bowling and i can't get in cos of all you n00bs

Error C-603: It happened to me 3 times before I could get on.
Error C-997: it was the forth and final error before I got on.
