- Expecting PlayStation Home this spring? Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's not happening. Not a chance.
Sony Computer Entertainment today announced that it is extending the duration of the closed BETA for PlayStation Home to summer 2008. As a result, a further number of registrants will soon be invited to test the service and the open BETA has been subsequently pushed back till fall.
Details on applying for the extended closed BETA will be provided at a later date. Home was first slated for September or October 2007 and then pushed back to "Spring 2008." And now, like that, Sony slides it back again.
