Ever since PS3 Firmware 3.0 was first announced at GamesCom 2009 excitement has been culminating for the update's release.

Even Sony's Eric Lempel stated that it will indeed be the last major PS3 Firmware update of the year.

can anyone please iterate on the "Custom Remote Play Settings - Manually set a device (such as a PSP system) to be used for remote play" item? how has it changed, what new options do you get?

Hrmm... why would people not use the System Update software to update the bios?

Is there some sort of advantage or patching that I should be aware of before I download and apply this new bios?

lol. this is so lame, i was looking forward to this update so much but not i am wondering if their could be a hack for the old firmware at some point. Meh... I'll just update it.
