Open PS2 Loader v0.6 for PS3 with Source Code is Now Available

Hey guys im a little confused and was wondering if anybody on here could clarify... What is loading through SMB? If its loading ps2 images off an hdd through a network, can anyone post a tut? Thanks.

Since i couldn't find a mention of the games that were working on this (Asides from the USBLoader compatibility Sub folder) . Did a little digging. For those who are looking for the game compatibility of this.

I tried with a friends psp and it worked on this.. so i wounder if it is the hardware betwen the ps3 and the hdd, that one that gives the hdd power and makes it go from sata to usb, or if it is the hdd??

Hmm, I'm not sure but it seems your HDD might not be compatible. usually WD hdd's when formatted to FAT 32 are compatible so I'm not sure if it's because of the 1TB size. You are making a folder called SWAPMAGIC and putting it on the root of the USB, right? Inside that an elf named SMBOOT0.ELF.

Unplug any other usb devices because sometimes it interferes with the loading. You should also try to launch someother elfs to see if you can launch anything at all. That way you can confirm if it is the hdd that isn't compatible with Swapmagic.

If your ps3 doesn't have an EE chip then don't place any SWAPMAGIC folder on the vmc because those ps3s can't launch elf that way. If you can find another usb device that is compatible with SM. once you've loaded usbloader you can switch with your hdd because it might work that way.

Need help with swapmagic/open ps2 loader... got swapmagic 3.8 and an external hdd WD 1TB elements.

When i launch swapmagic and try to launch smboot0, it stucks with "launching SMBOOT program from memorycard or usbdrive" tried to formated the drive several times and many tutorials on how to place the files on my hdd but i can't get it right cuz it always freeze on the same place... if someone know what to do please tell me.
