Featured New Releases:

The Beach Boys - That's Why God Made the Radio

29 releases, over 100 million albums sold, three dozen Top 40 singles, 56 Top 100 hits and ten years since their last original album, The Beach Boys are back in full form, reuniting for their 50th anniversary tour and this brand new album.

Written and produced almost entirely by Brian Wilson, his return was the cornerstone of this highly successful reunion, bringing out droves of people to their summer concert leg and a continuous spotlight on the group since it was announced.

The tone is classic Beach Boys, moreso on the dreamier, lazy Sunday, "Pet Sounds" spectrum. An instant hit for fans and hopefully a few new ears as well for this timeless band.

If You Like: The Monkees, Foster the People, Simon and Garfunkel
Recommended Track: "Shelter"

Brandi Carlile - Bear Creek

Brandi Carlile has long teetered on the lines between country, pop, rock, folk and americana music. Her signature vocal twang coupled with rock sensibilities has proven over time to paint a versatile picture of her, but also a grey area, landing her in the views of fans of bands like The Fray, Maroon 5 and Tori Amos whom she has toured with.

Make no mistake though, Bear Creek is as down home as Carlile gets, with boot-stomping, guitar-picking twang and more traditional "country" tones, probably thanks in large part to producer Trina Shoemaker (Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Dixie Chicks)

If You Like: Jeff Buckley, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn
Recommended Track: "That Wasn't Me"

The Hives - Lex Hives

A five-year absence since the last Hives record has much to do with the band's departure from their last label, self-releasing and self-producing their latest, "Lex Hives". Aligning the creative needs of the band members took time, alongside multiple mixers, who have worked with Adele, Slayer and Modest Mouse, among others and bonus tracks produced by Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme.

Not to mention the influence of credited principle songwriter, "Randy Fitzsimmons," their mysterious, "manager," who some say is a pseudonym for Hives bassist, Nichoulas Arson, very much in the vein of the kind of thing this quirky, high-energy band would do.

If You Like: The Vines, The Strokes, The White Stripes
Recommended Track: "Go Right Ahead"
