Question about XBOX Games

:?? Can somebody explain to me why some games play on dvd and some just on hard drive? I've put some games on dvd-r and they work,others,don't. The ones that don't can be loaded to the hd and they work. How do I get all the dvd-r's to work? Is there some kind of patch I have to apply before burning? I'm new at this so go easy on me!

Well using verbatim and ritek. Why then do some games play on dvd and others don't? If it were either thing you suggest,then nothing should work right?

Try using DVD+R discs

I have never seen, heard of or experianced this issue which makes me think its a hardware issue specific to your xbox, or mod. I doubt its the mod if my 3 year old bigfonts softmod plays everything perfectly. The way the xbox works is every game is designed to run from the DVD drive, so if there were any issues it would be playing from the HDD. You could also try burning the games to DVD+R maybe? You could also try ftping the files off the hard drive and burning an iso with them specificaly.

Normally I would ask for specific examples of games that do/don't work but im not going to be around for the next week, so that would be kinda pointless.

Well I think I figured it out. Its the way the iso is packed. I used Qwix to put on hd. Then ftp'ed to my pc. then used qwix again to make another iso. Burned and it works.
