Help with modded xbox - PS3 NEWS

I need help. Bought a modded halo xbox. Well somethings messed up. Worked perfectly till today. Botted it up and xbox logo comes on screen with the evo logo and then nothing else. Noticed last night that i coldn't download skins or shoutcast stations either. Played fine,i think kids went in and messed something up. Also noticed last night that the bios version said unknown or something like that. I tried ftping the box and qwix won't recognize it. Now what? Really strapped for cash right now so if I can do myself that would be great. I never had any exp, with xbox so detailed instructions would be great.

chip, i don't know which one though... no error screen. Just evo logo in left screen ans big xbox in middle

Seems like something got corrupted/damaged with the dash.

Does the modchip have a built OS? If so, you could try FTPing in through that. If your hard drive is unlocked, you could connect it to the computer and reinstall the dash fresh with the 360xplore program (I think thats what is called, Admin posted it 2 threads down). Also, if you can boot originals (or copies), you could load 007, mechassult, or splintercell with the save xploit to get ftp access.

It could also be something wrong with the chip, or the bios on the chip. You could try reflashing the chip if thats relativly easy to do.

can't reboot anything. Just press power and xbox logo comes up with evox logo. thats it. tried to use qwix to ftp but it doesn't work now. don't know what mod chip it is. tried to get ahold of person i got it from and he doesn't answer my messages. Tried to get ahold of someone named MKE on this site because I believe he did the mod chip install for the previous owner. no luck there yet.

it played one game. It was a pal game and the graphics were way out of center. Tried to boot with a different game and nothing. Found a copy of that ,burned it and it just loaded for a sec and back to logo screen. keeps doing it over and over. burned to dvd with same as games. it read games with that media.

did it, both as a matter of fact. The only one that came close to booting was AID. I go the xbox logo and underneath it a AID then it turned itself off and back on. Like stuck in a loop. WTF???

ok I went and took xbox apart to look for chip, there is none! all is a wire bridging connections! I'm thinking a game exploit of some kind and something got deleted. If this is the case can I fix it? Would buying a chip help?

That means you have a TSOP mod (flashing the xbox's own erasible BIOS data with modded data). While it might be a bad flash, I'm personally thinking either your HDD is dieing or the guy who did the TSOP flash nicked a chip in there or something. The only time I've seen stuff like you described was when a GPU overheated (garbled graphics and whatnot).

YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! I fixed it myself. After 13 dvds and 10 cd coasters I finall got the program Configmagic to boot. Just did an update of EEEOO*** somethin like that and it worked!! everything is back to normal. I put a lock on writing to that file also.
