April 17, 2007 - Starting today (April 17th), fans of Comedy Central's faux-news programs
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and
The Colbert Report will be able to purchase their two favorite comedic news shows in the Xbox Live Marketplace. The current plan is for the episodes to be available within 24 hours of their original airdate at the same price as the other television programs within the marketplace (the average price for TV shows is 240 Points).

- Comedy Central
While many people go to CNN, MSNBC, FOX and other such outlets for their major news, there is a growing population who choose to get their daily news from
The Daily Show and
The Colbert Report. These two programs, instead of outright stating facts and allowing long-winded editorials, instead choose to give us 'truthiness' and contort the day's events in the funniest and most digestible manner possible. Between the cult like following to these programs and the critical acclaim - culminating in an Emmy and a Peabody Award for
The Daily Show - it is no wonder that these two programs are slowly becoming the most popular news programs in America.
