The BenQ 64930 and 62430CR is the VAD6038.

I'm curious, not being a jerk. Why would you need the original firmware?

To restore back to factory default for resale, or repair? When the Microsoft sticker is peeled,broken, you warranty is voided.

Or is it for spoofing ? (ie Samsung ms28 spoofed as Hitachi 78, to avoid disc scratching)

I have just upgrade firmware from 1.4 to 1.5 and now to 1.5.1, and when 1.6 comes out i'll upgrade that too.

I use the bad flash method and VIA sata card , iprep 0006 with updated idef.

thanks for the great upload, what do you flash it with? because i tryed flashing mine, looked to be done correctly, but it will not read original discs, i have not tried duel layer disc as of yet, but burnt a single layer and it did not work, any ideas guys? also my computer can not reckonise the dvdrom in windows, it does when you boot up in bios it comes up, the dvd rom drive is a ms28. any help thanks guys, firmware and hacker program would be appriecieted too cheers

thanks a lot.. with LT released original firmware is needed.. i use jungle flasher.. but for the first time i used iprep and have lost my original firmware.
