XCM II-Case Wii Chameleon

May 30, 2007 - Readers may recall our install and review of XCM's I-Case replacement shell for the Nintendo Wii http://gear.ign.com/articles/780/780633p1.html. We dug our individualized black and chrome consoles that were the result of our labors, and found the Wii disassembly process pretty straightforward provided proper organization is adhered to.

Today http://www.xcmlive.com/cgi-bin/xcmlive/engine.pl?function=viewid&id=RKS00098&cat=WII-TUNING&view=2 is showing off an even cooler Wii mod kit, complete with the requisite LED lighting that proves you've got l33t modding skills. The II-Case's multi-colored LED array will cycle through a variety of colors while the Wii is powered on, casting a pall upon neighboring electronics that aren't half as cool.



The kits are shipping soon for $54.99 and we're told there's a review sample for us on the way. Stay tuned for the install feature when it arrives.
