@Toolfreak - If you read through the thread, once you have the RM you just need an original game disk with a System Menu update on it(higher than 3.2). If you really only have 3.2 then this should be fairly easy. Take a trip to your local game rental store !! Maybe Ghostbusters / Cloudy with a chance...

The 2nd brick sounds like my low level brick, so it's a new motherboard as a minimum my friend.

Please Help!

Here is the story with how i bricked my Wii. i was wondering if i could get it fixed using any of the unbrick disks here:

1- korean wii - english menu - was on 3.2u and hbc 0.9 (No modchip)
2- installed hbc 1.0.6 and DVDX
3- installed IOS60 (Patched) - found it somewhere on the net
4- installed Preloader 0.29 (couldn't run HBC)
5- installed another Preloader 0.29 (could load HBC)
6- dowloaded sysetm menu 4.0u (V417) with NUSD V1.2 having key.bin and kkey.bin in the same directory
7- ran the output wad file from wad manager 1.4 and restarted.
8- resulted in a garbled screen with white and green stripes whenever i turn on! (preloader not working either)

i can go to recovery mode by my GC controller and it shows 4.0(KOR).

i am pretty sure i also have the patched version of IOS36 installed. now, can I do anything to save my wii? which of the unbrick disks do i need? i can get a modchip if that helps.

i think you cannot run ssbb cause you didn't use the real game but modified backup, maybe the dvd5 version and you're wii have to be able to run trucha signed disc to run such games. Try ssbb ntsc with a non modified version so dvd9 one. Good luck...

Load hapens in this thread and i will need few days to read all posts.. but quick answers:

You need the DVD5 version from SSBB becouse the RM cant boot DL discs.Only if you have the cIOSv12 installed as sys-ios and the cDIP plugin from the cIOSv12 injected into the IOS of SSBB.Otherwise you cant boot DL discs with the RM and you need the single layer version.

To time i playing Sacred2 on the x360 and have a new patch available for New Super Mario Bros. Wii and now runs via USB loader s very fine.

I will post a tut and the patched main.dol

ps. And yes true for trucha signed discs you will need a trucha able sys-ios on your wii.But this is also needed for the Rescue Discs.

@cfwprophet
Can you make an edited version of your BootMiiDisc that will run on Wii´s even if the Diagnostic Disc Check would not be removed before (like UUD v4 and LCUD v3) ?

Thanks

If i remember right than the bootmii disc is edited to run on Wiis without diag disc check. Maybe you forgot to put in your SD card? Botmii needs some files to run and they are on the sd card.

Sorry, I've simply readed the readme.txt included in the BootMiiDiisc zip. Near the end, it says:

"How ever... Softmod users will additional need the "Diagnostic Disc Check" to be removed, with HB apps like Starfal/Startpatch/Preloader, and at least your sys IOS must contain the cDIP module!! So make sure you always have this both security dispositions installed onto your Wii."

So I thought the check had not been removed.
If you can confirm this, I'd be grateful.
