Indiana Jones Becomes Indiana Pwns with New Wii Exploit

Today Team Twiizers have managed to find a new Wii exploit called 'Indiana Pwns' because it uses a save game exploit from Indian Jones.. yet another easy way to get homebrew on the Wii!

Extremely short instructions: put this savegame on your Wii (if you have one on there already that you want to keep, back it up first!), start the game, walk to the "art room" (find some walkthrough on the intertubes if you cannot find it), look at the second character, enjoy!

Kudos to "roto" for finding the original buffer overflow, and many thanks for doing lots of testing!

I merged your post labonte with the one from our Site News. If you want to add the download back to it as an attachment you can, but you will also have to add the source code according to the license.

UPDATE: I uploaded a new zip file that fixes a packaging error and clarifies the copyright and licensing. People who are “re-hosting” this file should update, read the license, and reconsider whether they really want to host this binary themselves; whoever distributes the binary needs to distribute the source code as well (loosely speaking, read the license for the exact terms!)

Nice Finding "Yeah I'am Indiana Pwns"

They should change from Wii to PS3 and help finding an XMB Exploit and breakout from HV. That would be awesome

They should've waited for the PS3 version to come out, NOT release it just yet. Maybe it could've worked on the PS3 too. Now the devs will probably patch it. Damn it.

This exploits are so called "Buffer Overflow" attacks.

But the PS3 have a software police running (The Hypervisior) and such Buffer Overflow exploits doesnt work.If the Hypervisior detects such a attack it than executes the System Call "lv1_panic" (the last entry from syscalls) and simply turn off the console.Even with no shut down if needed.

You can guess that this will kill the viruse,trojan,worm,hack,exploit..."Buffer Overflow"

So in this case Wii hacking is more then...Childs Play and PS3 Hacking more like for the Grande Masters of Console Scene.

No offence meant to all coders and devers from the Wii scene.
