There are clear Tutorials for UMDGen on the site- you should be able to figure out basic usage with them. I have no clue why you're doing what you described above though- if that RAR you downloaded is an image then it should be an .iSO file. If it's just ripped files (as it sounds), then you'll need to follow the basic instructions for the NOUMD PSP FiXes for use with RunUMD (available
HERE for Naruto).
The X folder goes in the MS root, it doesn't go in the iSO at all. You will need the iSO game files (extracted) to put in narutop folder also as detailed:
Quote:
2) From your original PSP_GAME folder move ICON0.PNG, PARAM.SFO, PIC1.PNG, and SND0.AT3 to the narutonp folder from this pack.
3) Next, from your original PSP_GAME\USRDIR folder move both the movie and sound folders (including all files in them) over to the narutonp\USRDIR folder from this pack.
4) Now, from your original PSP_GAME\USRDIR folder move both the naruto.dat and naruto.idx files to the narutonp\USRDIR folder from this pack.
NOTE: Do NOT move/use the modules folder from your original PSP_GAME\USRDIR folder as this FiX already contains the correct modules folder in order to have battle sound.

If your downloaded RAR doesn't even contain that, you'd better hunt for a better pack/version... when all is done, you will be
dragging and dropping files/folders into UMDGen to rebuild if you don't already have an iSO you can edit on-the-fly with UMDGen. And ya, you can save as a DAX'd iSO in UMDGen when you're done modifying/rebuilding it without issue.
If you are new to all this though, I'd find myself a FULL iSO image before even attempting to follow what I posted above... not some "526MB rip pack" that may or may not work even for those who follow everything above.
