Correct... UMDGen's file layout is tailored to PSP images, but for PS2 you can use CDGen which is very close in functionality to UMDGen. There is also a PSXGen utility, but it's quite dated so not currently archived here.

I don't really understand this app completely. It says to click and drag PSP_Game and the bin file into UMDgen, but it doesn't show the PSP_Game in the window. This is the bug you were talking about before? So what exactly is the point of this app at the moment then? Forgive me for being perhaps a little bit out of the loop, I just want a definitive answer... Thank you.

Nah, you're getting confused... the bug they were talking about is in the rip kit posted on the first page of this thread. You can just drag and drop files/dirs into UMDGen, and at the moment it seems to work fine for all as no bugs have yet to be reported on it.

I can't seem to drag the PSP_GAME directory into the UMDgen as well. I am using DAEMON Tools to view the ISO, when I drag the folder over nothing happens?
Any help is appreciated

That does not work in one case: If you mount your iso image with daemon tools, you can not drop the directory into UMDGEN. You have first to copy all files to a local hard drive, then drag and drop from the local hard drive. I hope it will help.

As far as I know, it doesn't currently support the feature of using virtual drives... I'm not sure why you'd mount it in Daemon/Alcohol 120% first though as most people just copy the files to their PC and then drop them in from there to UMDGen. If you were to give me a valid reason for adding virtual drive support, then perhaps I can suggest it to the UMDGen authors though for a future release.

yea I definately didn't do anything with a virtual drive. It was just on my second hard drive, maybe I'll try putting it on my first HDD. Well, here goes nothing, Ill redownload and mess around with it.

Edit: Ok, I put it on my C Drive, and now it works, wierd huh?
Now I just gotta figure out how to get custom soundtracks into burnout and a rip kit for madden.

MC3 Rip Kit

Im trying to use the MC3 rip kit, but it says my iso is not the right size for the patch. Is there a way around this, or will i have to get another iso?

Hmm i tried this just for fun... I extracted the files of hot shots golf, using winrar... then followed the steps in the guide (didn't rip anything and didn't mess with any files)... I got a iso 20mb smaller than the original one... But it dosen't run using umd emulator .8c... What am i doing wrong here?

The idea was to reduce the size of an ISO file. The file was more than 1Go and I wanted to have an ISO file I could use on a 1Go memory stick. So, my only solution was to mount the ISO file then to "recreate" a new ISO file. Perhaps I have missed a feature of UMDGEN that could simplify my life...

Cheers
