We saw this unique upcoming device posted at several PSP-related Web sites on the net, so we decided to mention it here as well- meet the VRX-02 MPEG-4 Recorder! The device creates MPEG-4 files onto flash cards, and supported formats include SD, miniSD, Memory Sticks (MS), MS Duo, and MS Pro Duo. Although it appears to be marketed for PSP (likely due to the MPEG-4 compatable format), this video recorder from Japanese company Rockridge Sound records at low resolution only (320x240/30fps) and rumor has it there's probably no recording programming function unfortunately. Three recording modes are available though as follows: Super Fine (320 x 240 dot, 30fps), Fine (320 x 240 dot, 15 fps), and Normal (176 x 144 dot, 15 fps) but unfortunately none in the native PSP resolution. Finally, the external dimensions per product specs are 210 x 145 x 35mm (W x D x H). Cool? YES! Just how useful? Only time will tell for sure...
