Update my PSP

I have a US PSP with v1.5 (which is what came on it) .. I know there are no updates to download for the PSP yet, but do you think we would be better off not updating our PSPs untill we absolutly need to since downgrading the version may prove difficult and homebrew apps may not work on later versions?

I dont plan on updating unless: 1). There is a HUGE glitch in the programming that can cause me to lose use of my psp 2.) They release a web browser and other things in the firmware 3.) I buy a game that requires the update

if none of those happen, 1.50 it is...

but, i'm sure in time there will be tutorials on flashing the memory to downgrade firmware
