May 14, 2007 - Were you impressed with what you saw in Irem's Disaster Report and Steambot Chronicles for the PS2? Then you'd better keep your PSP charged, as the next game from the producer of those two titles is now at work on Sony's portable.

Speaking with Japan's Gpara.com Irem's Kazuma Kujou revealed that he's working on a sci-fi strategy game for the PSP. He didn't share any specifics, although he mentioned that he's juggling work on this title with his management duties for Irem.

The rest of the interview offered a look at Kujou's history in the game industry, along with some insights into what we can expect next from him. In addition to the above two, Kujou has worked on such big-name franchises as R-Type and Metal Slug. For the future, he mentioned player freedom as an area he'd like to explore, and also suggested that Irem will be working with external developers.
