Today Sony has announced at GDC 2010 that PhyreEngine is expanding to the PSP for developers.
For those unaware, PhyreEngine for the PS3 is an advanced graphics rendering engine used by developers on a number of Blu-ray disc based titles as well as downloadable games from the PlayStation Store.
It has been used for titles including Critter Crunch, Flower and Shatter.
To quote: "We're very happy to see the continued popularity of PhyreEngine with the global game developer community" SCEI senior VP of technology Teiji Yutaka said.
"PhyreEngine for PSP was developed in response to requests from the game developer community, and we hope that the release of the PSP version demonstrates our commitment and support for game developers on all our platforms."
PhryeEngine for the PSP and a game demo "Tunnel Vision" will be on display all week at the SCE booth at GDC.
