PSP's hardware compared to the PS2's

I was wonderign, are the psp's cpu, ram, video card ect. as fast as the ps2's? The CPU might be 333 (about 50Hmz more than PS2), But is it running as good as ps2's cpu? I heard that ram in the psp is new and running faster than the ps2 ram. All in All is the PSP AS fast or even FASTER than the ps2?

There was a comparison done on the hardware specs for the PSP and PS2 when the PSP was just released. I can't remember the details but the consensus was the PS2 is still the better machine. PSP is definitely higher up than the PS but still a bit lower on the food chain compared to the PS2.
