Memory stick backup

I only have a 32 meg memory stick, so when I want something different on it, i will use back up files on my pc and transfer the files from the pc to the psp. However when I do this the apps will not run. Does anyone have any insight to this?

Sorry, I should have explained a little better. I am backing up apps for the psp such as emulators and homebrew apps to my pc. When I am tired of what is on the mem stick and want something different, I delete the folders out of the psp/game dir and transfer different folders from the pc to the psp. But when I do that I get a 80020001 error. The odd thing is, is it only does that from one of the backups not the other.

I am also using the renaming method to hide the corrupt files if that has anything to do with it

I believe I solved the issue. I used the Sei PSP Tool to install the files on the mem stick and so far have no issues with it. I didnt try it before because of problems I have read about it. I noticed that it named the folders with spaces instead of an underscore. It looks like the issue is with the renaming of the folders with the underscore. When the folders are named with spaces instead of an underscore, the problem is gone.
