June 24, 2007 - The Game Developer's Association of Australia (GDAA) today announced the dates for its industry conference [Register or Login to view links]. It will take place from November 15-17 at the Melbourne Convention Centre, and "will be an ideal opportunity for Australian and international game developers to network with industry colleagues such as publishers, programmers, developers, creative artists and with players intimately involved in the digital content sector of the industry in the Asia-Pacific region."
Perhaps more importantly for IGN readers, however, is the fact that this is the same week that the [Register or Login to view links] is on. eGames takes place at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from November 16-18, and like last year, will be consumer-focused, with all the major publishers in attendance showing off their Christmas titles. The GDAA has been quick to brand the week 'Games Week 2007' and to say that it's "set to be the largest and most influential video game industry event in the Asia Pacific region." We certainly hope it is, and should have more details soon.
