Bring it to wal~mart, tell em the thing gets really hot or it makes a very bad noise and that you want a strait exchange. Say it was a gift and you should be ok.

That is what I always did.

BTW, bought mine 2 days ago at my local Wal~Mart and it is 1.50. We opened 3 boxes at the store before we found one without burnt pixels.

Before I ordered mine, I asked what kind of firmware their PSP had. He said it was 1.50.
I bought from a Norwegian online store who imported from Japan.
