Do you need a wireless router to make the psp go on line?

That's only if the laptop contains a wireless system within it.

That tutorial was made so that you could bride your wired connection over to the wireless connection and then have it boradcast it's signal. This would then turn the laptop into a sort of router of it's own.

well if you use ad-hoc mode it will not go online ad-hoc is only for psp to psp connection what i think you need to do is set your psp to the ip address of your wireless card . . . i think that shoud do it the only thing that i don't know is if you can use the same wireless card to go online and connect your psp at the same time but if you have your pc wired to a router then just share the conection tru your wireless card and bingo you have conection to your psp if you configure it rigth
