Appreciate all the rep points for my tutorial - cheers everyone (Keep em comin! lol).

However i would like to point out that my work is meaningless without the work done by Booster & the other dev's! (I only wrote a tutorial on how to use the thing, i didn't develop it - just wanted to make that 100% clear - don't want to be accused of stealing anyone's thunder!)

PSPSwampy.
(Feeling a bit guilty! - better now )

I have this microdrive and it doesn't work either. I have the NEO PAD 8 in 1. Since DH 0.43, nothing works and no one knows why or is working on finding out why.

I Got my Neo PAD 8 in 1 today Installed DEVHOOK .46 and with .CSO files they work. But Autosave or games that require to save will not allow you to save. Some of the games will still work if you don't save or enable auto save.

Example. Street figher will work if you don't save.

Just wondering if anyone out there is facing slow load times with the datel hard disk... So Slow that it seems that nothing's loading at all sometimes.

Is there anyway I can find out if there is any problems with it? I have already formatted and did a scan via Windows but it is still darn slow... and I think it is not loading at all at times.

Please advice me on this, Thanks in advance!

Hey dustarian, I'm in the same boat. My 4g datel is very slow. It's working excellent tho and i havent come across anything it won't play at the moment using devhook .44. It is painfull at times tho and some games run slower than usuall. Reading through some of the other threads it looks like a memory stick is the way to go hey, heaps faster and with 2g sticks goin cheap on ebay, i'm afraid the datel doesn't really cut it for mine. Hope that helps mate....

Edit: Hey i forgot to mention that if you can use a umd that's .cso'd instead of the original .iso then it's a hell of a lot faster!! Might be of some help....

Hi,

Been using devhook 0.44 with datel hd and have positive results with various cso including game saves. The only thing I can say against using the 4Gb Hd is that it is very slow at loading the games but they do load and play ok eventually (30 seconds+) between each screen change when loading from the drive

Cheers

I gave up on my 4G datel hard drive and bought a 4G sandisk pro duo. I now use my 4G hard drive just for movies

I have got a 4GB Hard drive & it works fine with the new version of devhook, the only problems I have are some games startup and the crash, and some games wont let me save, when I do it crashes.
any ideas?
I got mine working by formating it using windows as FAT, and all the problems I had went away when I did that, except for the save & games crashing.

please reply

The HDD does fine, switch to DevHook v0.46 and it will be faster. I have been using devhook since day one (well since it started working for the HDD). I have only one gripe I cant seem to figure out how to boot a UMD once in the XMB, I mean I can set it to boot one from the menu in devhook but then I cant load the ISO's so I then have to switch off and boot back to 1.50 and load devhook agn so I can get back to ISO instead of UMD selection. I think I tried a custom flash that did work for me in the past but I am not sure about that anyone have any thoughts on booting a UMD while in 2.71 XMB?

Keep up the good work guys and I have said it before and Ill say it agn, I cant thank you enough for all the contributions you have made.

Thanks

I do not know, for me, games that has video plays but is damn jerky, the frame rate is terrible!
One example is Finder Love by Capcom, the game has video clips in it and it loads real slow...
Katamari's intro is also bad but not as bad as finder love...
Hope I can solve this soon, dun really wish to spend $200 on another MS though...
