PSP Datel 4GB HDD with DevHook chat!

Hi guys..

i've been tryin to get this usb host thingy working for a while... i got everything working so far but now im trying to install the PSP type B... it just says Searching for devices drivers... i've been following step by step on the PSPSwampy's Howto:

Installing DevHook v0.44 +mods on a PSP with a Datel 4gb HDD and then getting it to run (inc USB mode) and it's still not working for me... any clues why? it just keeps on searching and searching... i need help please?

I am also having issues. I did get the datel to work with .44 (no mod) but only with small isos. Large isos will just reboot the psp. Has anyone attempted to flash the firmware onto their psp? If so does that work? What about .46. Devhook rocks just sucks i wasted all this money and the hd doesnt work. (crying) =(

has anyone tried devhook .46 flash option to improve performance with the datel drive? i am not sure how much of the firmware gets flashed, but it seems to be the most promising increase in performance for the hard drive yet (at least for the firmware emulation). please post any results you have...

there should be a folder marked "driver" included in the usb mod package. when you are installing the psp, point windows toward that folder and you will be golden. good luck.

Hi i have installed 0.46 flashed the files into flash and it is mutch faster. I even got it to work with usb with this version.

and a new usb host for pc was very nedy. So i downloaded

So now i am a very happy psp , datel hdd user.

few question:

1. Is there a way to have 46 autoboot to the XMB and once there start a UMD (Trying GTA). I can have it boot the UMD if I select any UMD and Fake.iso it will auto boot the UMD in the drive fine but whan I dont want to play GTA I have to wait till it boots up and then choose home to get to the XMB so I can swap to another .iso.

2. Is it ok to install the font flash? I saw where somone was having trouble.

3. can we launch movie.mp4 from the XMB ?

So 0.46 works flawlessly with any ISO on HDD?

Loco Roco worked for me with USB from my PC.

Try the hitachi 4gb microdrive and see if it works.

i am also trying to find out if not hitachi 4gb microdrives will work with this new devhook... cuz i am thinking in getting one hitachi 4gb microdrive and the 4 in 1 pad. the 4 gig ms duo cards are too much for me right now.

Thanks very much PSPSwampy. :tongue2 U the man! I have got quite a few games to run tekken Resurrection working, Tokobot, Capcom collection remixed. I did want to say 1 thing I followed your method except the part of formatting my datel 4gb drive and as a result firm 2.71 is selectable and usuable from my menu, as soon I turn the machine off, it resets back to the orginal settings with all my other mod stuff on there, if I rest it with the home button what ever the last game I played shows up on the game in the drive... :grin:
