Well that was quick, shortly after PSP Custom Firmware 5.03GEN-C was released comes PSP Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-D3 today!

PSN Access is a no-go.. just tried now after updating..

Won't allow me to login - saying i need to update my software.
Same applies trying to access Playstation Store.

Maybe in the next version?

You should now make the transition to GEN. GEN you can get only update from 5.03 M33 custom firmware. Do you some research and find out how. The Chickhen method is now far too outdated to play the latest games at this point.

This is permanent unlike the Chickhen/CFW loader method of running homebrew/backups. Which means you can fully shut the system down and you don't have to fight with it in order to get it to run. Be careful though because there are two versions of GEN floating around. One aimed specifically for the v3 motherboards and the other at the older versions of the console. If you use the wrong one you will brick your system.

Just asking if it can be done, but is there a way to get from 1.5 directly to 5.5? or do I have to go through all the other versions to get there?

Also, does 5.5 play both emulators and iso backups? Currently I'm running 2 diff psp's at 2 diff CFW's only because one can't handle my psp backups and one can't handle my oldschool emulators like NES.
