What exactly do you mean by the save name?

My Friend got a Bio Hazard 3 FIX VER. He can play and beat the game without any problem! Is it anyway to FIX the US VER? When he got the game it's fix already, so we have no idea how they fix it!

I own a genuine copy of FFIX and attempted to make a PSP compatable version. (I've made other games with 100% sucess) and all I got was the black screen. I borrowed a copy of FFIX from a friend which was 'patched' years ago, this one converts 100%. Going back to the 'old days' I remember having to patch my PSX games in order for the back-up's to work.

The question is... is it the disks copy protection system that's stopping some games from working?
I think the software you use to rip the ISO's may make a difference due to the sub channel data etc. that may need to be read. Thoughts anyone??
I have a genuine FFIX and made a successful copy with CDRWIN.

Finally bit the bullet and upgraded to 3.03 OE-A (yeah, I know, I'm a coward). I'm playing Xenogears and it works great. I'm still in the Stalactite Caves right now so I don't know if there are going to be problems in the later parts of the game but so far so good. Oh, and I have infinite money using CWCheat v0.1.6 Rev F.

Now, I definitely won't ever upgrade my current PSP. I'll probably just buy another PSP when FFVII:Crisis Core comes out. The Playstation emulator was the only feature in newer firmwares worth upgrading for (since I actually did buy my PSP for gaming, not for internet browsing, etc) and now, it's been modified so you can even play most of your PSOne games. There goes the lack of good RPGs (and games in general) for the PSP.

the quickest way is to use the cwcheat system to copy your game save to the new one but you will have to do it again for disc 3 so its in your best interest to just rebuild the file and set the save game info to the same one used for disc 1, i have completed playing several multi disc games using this method
