i'm having some minor issues with FF7

during CGI's, i get an annoying scratching noise every few seconds. Also, the sound sounds kind of low quality and kind of messed up.

another minor issue I have is the top left of the battle window during combat disappears and becomes distroted. It's annoying and I'd like to try and get this game to work flawlessly. Anyone else having trouble with this, or do I just have a bad rip?

check out the note in the first post. Not all games work that well, but gets better with each new firmware release.. sooo wait till 302EC or 303 or whatever that Dark_Alex releases as an update and see if it works better then.

Use cwcheat and increase the cpu frequency to 266 for fixing scratchy sounds. That should help. At least it did for me kinda

Has anyone gotten the hex editor thing to work at all? I edited those offsets, and when I try to launch it from my PSP, it says something about it being an invalid region.

yeah, i realize that, it's just that next to the Final Fantasy 7 on the list it says "Works perfectly, fullspeed full sound"... thats why I was just wondering if I had a bad rip or something.

As for CWcheat, I'll try that out and see what happens

Absolutely. the eboot of hot shots golf 2, renamed to BASE.pbp as well as the keys.bin are in the popstation folder with the iso. i do realize all games aren't working as of yet, but I tried it with an ISO of FFVIII, which IS confirmed working in this thread. Same problem. And cygwin1.dll is in my WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder, as well as in the popstation folder

I realized that right after posting. Made a copy and put it in SYSTEM, did it again. Still suffering the same problem, however. Does the keys.BIN change when you create the new PBP from your ISO? Because I've just been replacing the non working PBPs in my GAME folder with the newer (sadly, also non working) PBPs and not overwriting the keys.bin
