Official PSP 3.10 OE-A And Compatibility thread!

Dark_AleX has shared with us 3.10 OE-A today! Since it is the first release, it can only be installed as a full installation. Changelog:
Quote:
Changes in 3.10 OE-A:

- Change from 3.03 firmware to 3.10

- 4th level of brightness (aka battery eater) can now be selected also without ac adaptor.

- Changes in hen core:

* Static user elf's can now be executed in the 3.10 kernel. (this includes snes user version
between other programs)

* Tyranid's patch (added in 3.03 OE-C) consequences was not explained very well in the changelog of 3.03 OE-C:

- For programmers: it allows kernel modules to have user imports, making kernel programming
in 3.03/3.10 less strict.

- For users: plugins and applications that worked in 2.71 SE, but not in OE, *may* now work in 3.03OE-C
and 3.10 OE-A.

Wow that WAS quick. Anyway - just thought i'd post, there isn't much point in me doing a tut for this as you should be able to use the previous one (Install HERE and Uninstall HERE) for this and just subsitute 3.03 for 3.10.

I'll test it out later, but don't see why there would be anything different as far as the tutorial is concerned (other than the obvious replace 3.03 fro 3.10 and 303 for 310 etc!)

Have fun guys - if you REALLY want a new tutorial, ask nicely

Since it's a full install - i wouldn't have thought it would be a problem.

But if you want to be 100% safe, you can uninstall the usb mod if you like (the uninstall guide was included with the original guide).

Personally - i'll just install this over the top, but i've not done it yet!

In the read me it says that all plug in will be diabled by the flasher program to avoid incompatibilities, you will have to re enable them after install.

True.

But because the original USB mod involved overwritting 2 of the flash0 files, i totally understand why the original question was asked.

(Most plugin's don't touch the firmware)

Pops new features are great. Love the type 4 control allows for the analog sticck to be used as directional control. Should make playing fighting games much easier. Also has support for 2 controllers (haven't figured out how yet) Volume increase is nice too. Also eboots generated by older version of popstation still seem to work.

Great Work! A few days earlier than expected.
