Which emulators work well so far? - PS3 NEWS

Alright I've been looking through the sticky for emulators for Megadrive, GBA and GB emulators, and I'm having a few problems. Firstly, im confused by all of the file names! I have no idea which files contain which emulators, I obviously know some e.g. SNES and Sega Master System emulators by their names, but I have no idea whether there are any GBA or MegaDrive emulators. Please could someone point them out to me, just the file names, so that I can get the right ones, and also what is the method of putting them on the Memory Stick, e.g. in what files, where to put the roms etc. I heard something about changing the extensions of certain roms to make them work with certain emulators, if someone could clear this up too I'd be very happy! :grin:

generator is for mega drive. It only reads .smd files, so if you have a rom with the extension .bin, you must change it to .smd. There is no GBA emu yet.

cant wait for GBA and its something more likely to be emulated for the psp

Thanks for that Kraken, cleared a lot up for me. I wouldve thought that there would be a GBA emulator already, I just hope its only a matter of time. I don't want to have to sell my GBA now only to realise that I can't play the roms on PSP! :cry:

do the newer nesterj and snes9x emulators allow loading of roms from within the interface? i read that with one of the genesis emulators you could only have one rom working, and it had to be renamed to gen.bin...

with so many different emulators and lack of documentation its hard to figure out which emulators need to be configured which way.

yup, thanks for the info here too - not that i can try it out this second, but with any luck, tommorrow afternoon at work should be highly, highly unproductive
