Do any "psp" dictionaries exist in the forum?

Not anything specific... basically if ya have a few questions or want to know what something PSP-related means just ask away! Someone will post a reply I'm sure.

I'm trying to avoid asking questions that would be considered really dumb though? I would need like a starter-kit.

Rexrep: As long as your questions are specific (for example, don't ask "How do I do everything from beginning to end?" as that would mean you're too lazy to read the already-available 'basic' PSP Tutorials such as THIS one) we don't mind helping ya so don't worry.

Giele: At this stage in the game it's best to try to locate a v1.50... it is simpler to use with all of the recent "homebrew" PSP stuff these days, and likely cheaper in price too.

Homebrew games: Does this mean there's the possibility of retail games?

you will be able to upgrade v1.5 to v2.0 in the future.

It's already possible to play backups of retail games ripped from UMD's. ^_^

Indeed, but the question is, would one want too? I'll stick with the V1.5 till an exploit can be found for 2.0, which is likely to take a while!

I'd much rather be able to play homebrew apps and my UMD backups then be able to use a (IMO) rather limited Web browser (where's the JAVA?) and some minor changes I wont even notice.

java and flash support would defintely make updating more tempting
