PS3 Firmware Version Check Bypassed thread!

Hhmm... i'm having the same problem as passi... have Taiwan PS3 here, and i tried all the method and no luck, it always asks for a firmware update tho... cant even bypass it. :mad2

Got my UK PS3 to the UK Store with 1.50 using the Simple DNS method.

got mine all going with posadis and when i try to do the update it tells me i have the latest fw, so i try and connect and sign up to the store and after a while i get cannot connect. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Same here, I'm using it right now, downloading GT:HD concept. Works a charm.

jacks, do you know how/if we can download the full games like Tekken as PKG to play without buying?

i got a uk ps3 (1.50) as well im doing the dns method and am getting a internet connection succeded but i keep geting "software update needed" when i go to register when i select the sofware update it tells me its 1.60 firmware do i download this ?

Did you put in FUK and DUK instead of FUS and DUS?
