Then couldn't we possibly get into a higher version of firmware ? Probably not but just a suggestion.
Nope, this method just fools the server into thinking the firmware version on your console is a different version. It does in no way copy any files or change the actual firmware version you have installed.
i dont know if this helps but when i use a uk account it displays the Beta agreement before trying to connect to the servers. However with a US account it just displays the words " Usage policy -BODY- "
guys i think it's checking the user id with those who registered for closed beta so if we could find the XML thats checking we can fake the id with some of the real beta testers id so that it lets us in thinkin we are real beta testers!
Hi, I have a question. A unninstalled a Home Beta, because it didnt work, but icon of Home no disappeared. I want a official Home Beta in future and I didnt want have to problems with this "ilegally beta"...
In regards to the PKG file extractor, it only works with some, as it is specifically designed for development packages only. Find me a development home package, and ill unpack it!
I try to use the PS3 Proxy program and everytime I click OK on the Proxy application after it tells me the PORT and address details, the GUI doesn't show up but the application is still running in the background.
Any ideas what the problem is? Many Thanks in advance
all i keep getting in PS3.ProxyServer.GUI programm is loads of text lines scrolling up the page in logs when i turn my PS3 on? is this right? No home icon yet
alright, for those that want to delete it, but the blue icon remains i figured out the way to get rid of the icon. go to settings > system settings> restore default settings.
this will not format your HDD so dont worry, it just resets all your settings. you will have to set up your theme (if changed) again and your resolution settings and all.
delete the HOME file and try again, follow the ssteps in the guides carefully, even though it really isn't that complicated. I guess it can't be that far away until HOME is released properly so there's no harm in waiting I suppose; I am beggining to doubt if anything will come of this so it's probably not worth the effort if you cant sort it out.
