PS3 Proxy GUI English version!

hi, when i want to download some things that on my computer, my ps3 always saves the file into PHOTO. I can't change that so I can't use the pkg files. The program is great but my ps3 don't save them into the game map

You know why?

Nope - they work just fine ...

All you need to do is to ensure that not only the PS3 DNS is directed to Simple DNS but ALSO the PC it's running the Proxy ... in most cases it's the same PC for both so if for example your PC address is 192.168.1.100 you need to modify it's IP settings to have the same (and only that one) DNS address ...

If you'll have any more problems regarding that just let me know in here.

please explain more mate, the ip address i put in the ps3.proxyserver is the same up as my pc and the same dns as my ps3 right?

btw, i have already done the bypass via simple dns

I also have the same problem, UK PS3 1.50 using Simple DNS to connect to PS Store, as soon as I put the proxy IP in whether PS3 Proxy is active or not I get the Need to update error if I try and log into PS Store.

As long as your Simple DNS setup / update bypass is working "standalone" (e.g. without activating the Proxy yet) all you need to do is after switching on the proxy in the PS3 networking setup go to network configuration of the PC which is running Proxy application (usually the same one which is running the Simple DNS as well unless indeed you're using multiply PC setup) via:

Start / Settings / Control Panel / Network Connections

Then Right Click on the icon of connection which is used by your computer to connect to the internet - usually network / ethernet port (default name Local Area Connection) and select Properties.

In the list double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and change the DNS server from whatever it is (either Automatic or some specific IP address) to match the IP address of your computer - the same you've used as a Proxy in PS3 and Proxy GUI. Click OK and again OK to save the changes and try again your PS3 connection - it should be OK now.

Already using SimpleDNS to get into PS Store, I loaded up PS3 Proxy followed the instructions then this time as you said changed the DNS setting of my Wireless LAN Card connection to the same IP as my PC and Hey Presto! I was able to log into PS Store, directed PS3 Proxy to the Gripshift PKG, downloaded a free demo from PS Store, took about 40mins to transfer and install and TA DA I'm now playing Gripshift on my UK 1.50 PS3!

fever84 be sure, you fill something in ip adressse and port and that you check ps3 mode on the first tab.

so do you have to have fw1.50 ? I am on 1.32 at the moment.
