New Downloadable PS3 Demos?

Hi all,

I downloaded few demo games from the PSN and would like to save the games into USB media.

Please let me know if this can be done. Thank you.

does the backup utility backup specific items or the whole system?

also when downloading a demo it downloads AND installs so is the initial download compressed?

and is it possible to access the PSN via pc an not just PS3?

ok so i deleted everything except the motorstorm demo an backed up to my pro duo using the backup utility and it saved on the mem card PS3/EXPORT/200701181525 and contained 2 files archive.dat and archive_00.dat

any ideas on how to extract or otherwise manipulate these .dat files?

Do all these demos require an update of more than 1.10? As you all understand that if one is to go online via the ps3 you have to have the latest firmware. If not it would be nice to see some of these demos on the newsgroups for us patient people waiting to update the firmware..

it would be interesting to see what would happend if i where to use my mem card on a new "virgin" ps3 and do a restore. wonder if it would update the system or just install the demos

I would be interested to see if this would work, as i would love to get some of the demos, but am at firmware 1.02 at the mo.

In japan store and Hong Kong store new demo:

ridge racer 7 ---> 480 mb

For RR7 game --> event and stikc for cars

HK store new account in englis menu.

This has been covered many times. Make a new PSN account and set your country to Japan, Hong Kong, whatevz. As long as it's in that area.
