Selling my Ps3 Test unit! - PS3 NEWS

Hi there everyone - just got my test Ps3!! Woohooo!! So I have a few questions regarding it's functionality, and I'm hoping this can be a start for people who also have Test Ps3s to talk about functionality. I have a few questions....

1) Looks like there's a Blu-Ray Emulator on here - so is there a way to play Blu-Ray movies from a hard drive? I have a few of them, that would be nice.

2) I realize that backups can't be played and there is a launcher out. I just want to put my resources out there for anyone who wants to test out their stuff and get confirmation. I don't have much coding skill, but I would like to contribute to other people's work in any way I can. If you have suggestions about how I can help, let me know!

3) I can't access the Playstation Network. I created an account, etc, but if I try to log on to the Playstation Store I get an error code. I can find the error code if need be, otherwise, any help?

I just updated my firware to 2.20. I see that there are a LOT of debug options, only some of which I've tinkered with so far. Anyway, I'm excited to help out.

Quick question - I posted numerous times... but I only have credit for 3. Naturally I'm trying to get 5 so I can talk with Devs about my test Ps3. Any help? TIA.

Yep, if you check the STICKY threads here you will read that posts in this Newbie section aren't counted towards post count... that is why this is the "newbie" section basically.

If you post 2 more QUALITY posts (see the STICKY for what we consider "QUALITY") in the other PS3 sections then you will be all set once the cron runs and updates accounts later tonight.

How about IRC chatting on the channel? Not a lot of guys doing that?

Nah, the IRC room is for idlers mainly... any real "discussion" is done via PM on IRC or in the private Dev rooms.

how does one get a test/dev ps3? and is it the same price as a normal ps3 or less?

Hi guys - just wanted to direct your attention to my ebay posting - I'm selling my ps3 test unit. After trying to sell this to numerous people who are interested in using it for dev purposes, and having ALL of those deals fall through, I unfortunately have to throw it to the wolves and hope that someone who deserves it can come up with the cash in time.

I put it as U.S. only, but as long as someone international can work out the shipping costs, I am willing to go that route.
