Got directed to this part of forum. My ps3 just displaying a black screen after I tried to update it, it failed at about 70%

I switch it on and hold my finger, but it just bleeps and switches off

Can anybody help please?

When I put a Blu-ray movie in or a PS3 game nothing comes up on the menu. Why is this??? Is this a laser problem or something else??

And I bought a new drive and swapped old PCB board out and put in the new drive. The new drive fixed my disc drive so that I can eject and accept disc.
