I have PS3 Debugging Station but as I can't play real games on it nor BD is working right, I would like to know if it is possible possible to convert it to Retail PS3. I know it was not possible in the past but what about now, with new PS3 hacks?
Because without that my PS3 is with no use for me...
I really doubt he have a debug station, so I'll just give ya a DEX to CEX tutorial. Install 3.55 DEX CFW and have a 3.55 CEX CFW on your USB (PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP). Get the CEX flash on the USB root, It can be called either CEX.EID0.NORBIN or CEX.EID0.NANDBIN depending if you have NOR or NAND.
MultiMan -> mmOS -> hit X twice on CEX.EID0.NORBIN. DON'T TURN OFF YOUR PS3.
PS Botton for XMB to show up and go to System update, install the 3.55 CEX CFW.
since dex can be downgraded id try installing ofw3.55 dex then install itskamel 3.55 dex. im not saying it woyuld work , but id try it, cos atleast then you could play games cos most games are patched to 3.55
shame you werent in the north east of the uk, id swap you it myself. what fw revision is it on? since its a dex , downgrade to 3.55ofw dex then install 3.55 dex with peek and poke , im not saying it will let you, but if it does, atleast you could play games from hardrisk using multiman and most games are 3.55 patched anyway. not sure if it would work but could be worth trying
even if this dont work, you could always update to 4.25dex and use the bdemu method to play games, coupled with the recent dex tools and apps , you can get any game working that has an official update.
