Which release / distrib take ?

Hi !

I've just enter in the PS3 community. Which PS3 linux release do you use ?
which distrib do i must take :??

I've seen 4 distribution:

Yellow dog (official)
Fedora core
Debian
Ubuntu

im using yellow dog which works fine. Have had my eyes on Ubuntu before, looks like a very interesting distro.

I use YDL on my ps3 and Ubuntu on my pc, i was not aware that ubuntu worked on the ps3?!
I hope it does, my distro of choice, esp with 7.04 on the horizon :-D

I've got YDL installed at the moment but I will be installing Ubuntu soon.

I am using YDL 5.0 atm because it is the official linux, but a workmate did suggest using ubuntu as it is easier to use. I may change to ubuntu later on down the track.

sweet i never knew ubuntu worked :-) ill install 6.10 or 6.06 on my ps3 later on, a very easy & stable linux :-)

There any special steps i have to take to install it? or just the same as YDL?

as far as i know ubuntu doesn't support the pc64 architecture which is the ps3's. so you can't use ubuntu on it, i also want to add that there is another distrib working which is Gentoo Linux
