lol man this is what you do, go and but in the composite red white and yellow cords in the ps3. turn off the ps3 from the main switch at the back. now listen closely. flip the switch back on, and the ps3 should be in standby mode with the red light. press the power button, and you will hear a beep keep the button pressed until you hear another beep. This will put you back into the ps3 xmb with the composite, then you could see if it was your hdmi, or tv, or both.
Read your manual... there is a way to reset the video configuration, just like it is the first time your booting it. Holding the power button down at bootup till you hear beeps... or something like that. Just read your manual
