If any of you vets in the scene have been keeping track on the net involving Linux for PS3, then you might have heard of the latest "PS3 Linux Addon Disc" that is out on the web. Filename "CELL-Linux-CL_20061110- ADDON.zip", 41.77mb in size. This CD contains the kboot image for the Fedora Core 5.
I also suggest getting
Fedora Core 5 PPC DVD, which is available on the net as a 3.4GB iso image. Filename "FC-5-ppc-DVD.iso".
The final piece to the puzzle was $ony finally releasing that great tool of
OtherOS installer, we should be able to enjoy Linux on our PS3's now. I won't have my 60GB PS3 till Monday, so I hope someone here will give it a go.
