As for setting it depends on your firmware. The easiest would probably be redoing all the steps to the initial set-up of OtherOs. If you get another chance at it try to double check/cross-reference what you typed for kboot.conf, wish I could figure it out myself, but am not changing a thing on my end because of the off chance I too lose UDF 2.5 support.

 On a side note, loving the new site icon set for PS3News.com. (Should make it a credit purchase item, and add a radio button in the User CP, IMO) |

I installed the udf driver yesterday and it worked fine. I connected the hd-dvd from xbox onto the ps3 and linux recognised it automatically. I could then see the whole directory structure and tried to play it with mplayer after installing it succesfully but the EVO files where not viewable. Any solutions ?

I tried that route briefly when I first installed YellowDog. I got VLC (or mplayer?) to play the .mt2s file, but it was definately less than satisfactory. Quite choppy, and I don't think I could get dolby digital (though sound was coming out of the spdif). I quickly realized that this was not what I wanted and that I would never be satisified, so I built a HTPC. I believe the people that are using their ps3's for playback are going thru a fairly complex process to convert their movies for adequate playback. I did not want to convert and lose any quality - after all, that's the whole point of HD (having the best possible picture at this moment in time).
