    Question [UnAnswered] Why would i want to install linux?

    I have two other computers what is the point of installing Linux on a PS3, can you mod the PS3 through Linux or can you backup games onto HDD.

    You can back them up onto the HDD via Linux yes (see HERE for details), but you can't play them yet so it's not too useful except for examination purposes.
