Want to upgrade to a new CFW help?

Hello guys, so I would like some of you to give me your suggestions and perhaps a detailed step by step guide to upgrading from KMEAW to something newer.

There are a few CFWs out so far, I don't have much time to check every single one of them since I'm busy with moving to a new house. I would like to hear from you about which CFWs are better than others, and how to install them without messing up.

Extra info: I'm on KMEAW 3.55, I have nothing extra, no hardware flasher, haven't done a NOR backup yet and don't really know how (easy to google, but feel free to tell me how step by step). Main reason I want to update is to activate Tokyo Jungle, I bought it yet it seems I can't activate it on my firmware. Someone mentioned REX 4.21.1 allowing activation, so if noone recommends something else I will stick to that.

i'd go for the 4.21 rebug rex fw , its full of features got everything you can possibly need and installs pretty easy over kmeaw.

What exactly do you expect from a 3.55+CFW? You want just the OFW features? If not, then you might as well stay on 3.55, It's safer (latest 3.55+ CFWs have been quite stable though, seems like they aren't giving bricks anymore) and has better homebrew compatibility, you won't be missing anything, you can run all the games released so far (EBOOT fixes) and still get on PSN by the use of tools, such as PSN/SEN Enabler.

I always recomend Rebug CFWs, they have more features than the others and they're a very trustworthy team. Since both 3.55.3 and 4.21.1 versions are pretty much the same, I think you should just upgrade to 3.55.3. In case you insist on going to 4.21.1, you will want to install QA toggle before, to make the downgrading process easier in case you feel like doing It later.

Both CFW versions seems to be safe to install directly from XMB.

To dump NOR: mmOS->Select any file->Open in HEX viewer->[SELECT]->[START]->DUMP LV2(NO)->DUMP LV1(NO)->DUMP FLASH(YES)
