Very low PS3 FTP speed?

Transfering games from PC to PS3 I got 10 MB/s, when transfering games from PS3 to PC I got only 700 KB/s tops! What's wrong?!

I'm using a modem/router 10/100 mbps and cat5e cable, blackbox ftp 1.1b.

There lays your problem

Get either small 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbit switch (those are VERY cheap nowadays) and connect PS3, PC and modem all to that or simply plug cable directly between your PC and PS3 bu then you would need to set up your IP addresses on both manually in the same range so they can see each other / communicate.

I would recommend connecting direct to your pc if you want high speeds.
